Movie love: Adrift
March 16 This coming of age drama takes place in *Brazil, and although it can be a little heavy at times it really feels like you're 14 on summer vacation when you watch it. It's beautifully shot, really amazing. Enjoy these screen caps!

*Sorry!
And it's streaming on Netflix! Wooh!

Great film! I love this movie, but by Italy I think you mean Brazil ; )

Watched this movie last night under this recommendation and fell in love! thank you so much!
Ooh ya, I just watched this recently! Very pretty, nice 80's Brazilian style. Also, very realistic and multifaceted portrayal of a family.

I'm from Denmark and can't stream Netflix... :( anywhere else I can find it? It looks amazing!!
I LOVE this movie! My favorite part is when she sneaks into Camille Bell's character's room and becomes enamored with all her stuff. It makes me want to be a teen again (but in Brazil this time). I might just watch this again tonight :)
I am Brazilian. And I absolutely HATE how Brazilians are portrayed as "white-skinned" people. Most Brazilians are dark in color, most would look like Halle Berry or Rihanna before the persons in this film. I would just like people to be aware of that. Otherwise, great film.
I'm totally kicking myself for canceling my Netflix now. This looks like such an amazing movie based on the screencaps.

I had to comment on this post. First off, I love this blog. Been following it for several months now, though I've been rather quiet in the feedback department. But moreover, I just saw Adrift last month, and I loved it. It was dreamy and made me long deeply for warm, summer days, the scent of chlorine and beach water, triangle bikinis, and sunshine.
