Buy a ticket: Sleepless in Seattle
January 13 Janell Shirtcliff (a true little vintage fashion genious) is starting a website showcasing vintage shopping, awesome career girls, photographers and photoshoots. When it's up you wont want to miss it!
One of the projects for the site is BUY A TICKET, where Janell and I buy random tickets to random places and review food, vintage shopping and night life through photographs! The vintage clothes she purchases will be avaiable to buy at her Lonely Dot site, pretty awesome!
Here is our first edition of buy a ticket

Fly Virgin whenever possible, always great service. On a random weekend trip to Seattle, upgrading to first class is only $75

Rent a car for Seattle

We stayed at the Ace hotel, it was the first Ace ever built, started in 1999. As Janell said it feels more llike an upscale youth hostile than a hotel. There is usually only one person on staff during the day, someone young and fun. they bring you a bucket of beer when you arrive. This unique boutique hotel in a historical building has many green, eco-friendly and sustainable elements, like vintage and re-purposed furniture. The design has been described as bohemian, organic and hip.

Capitol Hill is awesome, it's definitely where you wanna be when you are in Seattle. Oddfellows became our spot while we were there, great for breakfast and lunch and drinks at night.

Of all the vintage spots we shopped at Red Light was by far the best, with 2 levels of vintage clothes divided by decade. Janell got some amazing things for Lonely Dot!

Back at the hotel we had a few beers and Janell modeled some purchases for the site

Me in my 90's plaid dress and vintage faux fur coat

The best of the best T from redlight

We took a cab out to Capitol Hill for dinner and drinks

Cocktails and oysters before dinner at bar ferd'nand,

We met up with old friends.. and new/strange friends at the very popular bar Linda's tavern

My friend Samantha

Afterward we came back to the hotel and had crazy times running around the hallways with the guy on staff

NIGHT NUMBER 2

We went to Smith for dinner, it is by the same people who own Oddfellows. The food was SO so good, the atmosphere was great and lots of cool people.

We did a photoshoot in the bathroom there

We met up with our friend Lauren and went to Oddfellows to have a drink and hang out with our waitress that we befriended at lunch

Made some new friends

Hung out with these dorky guys

Went back to the Ace hotel and had huge heart to hearts, Lauren spent the night

Lauren in the morning

We made waffles in the breakfast room, severe hangovers

It was our day to fly home, we went antique shopping before lunch and airport

Had burgers at the BEST Seattle burger joint, Lil' Woodys the fries are called "crack" and come with milkshape to dip in!

Time to head home. We were sad to say goodbye but ready to go back to our LA...
